Observational Studies

Data and information are cheaper and easier to collect than at any time in history, yet using quantitative information to understand problems faced by the pharmaceutical industry still presents a challenge.  The focus of most CROs is on data collection with only a nod to using these observations to understand business and scientific problems.  The focus of mainstream statistics is often on analysis and statistical interpretations of data, which often have a negligible impact on using observations to understand a business or scientific problem.  Observational Science uses observational data analysis and subject expertise to bring understanding to scientific and business problems in industry.

Observational Science specializes in understanding health related problems through studying real-world patient outcomes.  Real world patient data is often captured in health records, patient registries, and administrative data.
