Collaborate with a statistician that has been part of many successful academic grant applications.  We will make sure that your grant aims/objectives are tightly coordinated with the sample size and proposed statistical analysis.   The statistical methodology section of your grant may not get you the funding, but it can contribute to being rejected for funding!
